"Igor Egorov went through all stages of the art education. He was born
in a family of two Belorussian artists - graphics of the realistic
school. He studied first in Gomel Art School, then in Minsk Art College
and finally in Belorussian Academy of Arts.
There were all grounds for Igor Egorov to become a realistic artist.
But he intuitively turned off the "beaten track" onto the way of
mystics, fantazy, allegories, put out to hard sailing through the ocean
of associative search.
The way from the precise life portrait, still life, from scrupulous
working out of details to their arbitrary quaint combination, to vague
elusive analogies is the essence of today's creative quest of the
artist" - Larisa Finkelshtein, Art Critic, Minsk.
"...The subject matter of his paintings is philosophic mistic realism
inspired by Spanish art school. A parallel world, a world existing
independently of us, which is often inspiring, is a basis of his art's
philosophy. The meaning of life and death, the eternal and the
transient, the infinite and the instantaneous - these are topics of
Igor Egorov's canvas. His gift of artist is best expressed in
portraits" - Olga Afanas Eva-Torok, Professor, Subotica, Yugoslavia.
